If you’ve got something specific in mind for you next holiday, or looking for an unusual holiday here’s a rundown the latest in travel. Fancy yourself Cleopatra? The Oberoi has recently launched the Nile’s first small luxury cruise liner, The Zahra (www.oberoizahra.com), designed by Zeiler & Lim of Singapore, features 27 cabins with flatscreen TVs and large picture windows, and is the first to have a cigar lounge, state-of-the-art gym and Banyan Tree spa. The seven-day itineraries span from Luxor to Aswan, with private guides at your disposal for excursions to the Valley of the Kings. Dalmatian Destinations (www.dalmatiandestinations) on the other hand, provides fully-crewed luxury charter boats around Croatia’s stunning Dalmatian Coast.

If you’ve got a love for art, then Art Quest International (www.artquestintl.com) will satisfy all your creative cravings. The California-based travel company specializes in private, behind-the-scenes art and architectural tours, including MOMA, Guggenheim and Tate Modern. Tours take place in cities experiencing an urban renaissance, like Mexico City, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Shanghai. You can also get guided access to the world’s biggest fairs like Basel or the Art Biennal in Valencia.

And when you find yourself at the airport, whether your flying business or not, head off to any one of these airport spas: Xpress Spa is located all around the US and Mexico, with basic services and ten minute foot massages around US$20 (www.xpresspa.com). ECHO2 Pure Natural Oxygen facials average at US$550 and available at Absolute Spas at Vancouver Airport (www.absolutespa.com). Layover at Heathrow? There’s Urban Retreat’s energy pods (www.urbanretreats.co.uk, 20 minutes US$19). You scan also pop into Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse’s Cowshed Spa and Bumble & Bumble Salon (non-ticket holders pay at US$120 entrance fee including one treatment), and if you’re a British Airways ticket holder, hit one of two Elemis Spas, where massage chairs lull you during facials or massages.
